Mykolaiv is one of the biggest southern cities in Ukraine. It is the outpost of the Ukrainian fight against russians as well.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Mykolaiv is fighting fiercely and strikes back all the attacks from the russian troops. Meanwhile, the enemy intensifies the number of missile attacks and uses cluster bombs, forbidden by international law. This is how it all influenced the city’s healthcare system.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
As of April 20, the Ukrainian healthcare center team documented 141 facilities attacked by russians, 11 of them situated in the Mykolaiv region.<\/p><\/blockquote><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

On March 7, City hospital #3<\/strong> was left without 60 windows, shattered by the russian attack. Volunteers helped to cover windows with plastic. The hospital is operational, but not entirely.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
On March 11, russians attacked Regional Oncology Hospital<\/strong>. The facility had some light damage and managed to keep fully operational.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
“Only monsters attack sick people. These bastards attacked patients with cancer! Our local oncology facility. If people can unite around hatred of an enemy \u2014 well, we’re the most united nation worldwide! If russia sees our patients with cancer as enemies and rivals \u2014 I suggest it is dying as well. This is what makes us happy,” \u2014 said Maksym Beznosenko, head of the local health department.<\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n
On April 4, city hospitals were attacked with cluster bombs. They hit 4 hospitals: City hospital #5<\/strong>, Regional hospital<\/strong>, Regional center for disease control<\/strong>, and Children’s city hospital<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
